Hazlo aimed to address the challenges
faced by older individuals in the Latino
community who are struggling with
weight management and diabetes.
The goal was to create both a physical
presence and a digital platform where
users could access personalized schedules
for healthy meals, exercise routines,
motivational content, and health tracking tools.
To solve this, we developed a web
application tailored to the needs of the target
audience. The platform provides users with
personalized content, including meal plans,
exercise guides, motivational quotes, and
educational articles. Additionally, an admin
portal was built to manage content creation,
user engagement, and partnerships with
health organizations.
I was responsible for designing the following:
A cohesive logo and style guide to establish
the brand identity. A user-friendly website and
web application for patients.An admin portal for
content creation and management.
The design process spanned 6-7 months,
covering the project from initial concepts
to final deliverables.

The admin portal allows Hazlo to collaborate with health organizations to onboard patients and deliver tailored content.
Admins can design and publish questionnaires for patients. Upon registration, users can choose between Spanish or English for their content.
Admins can create categories and interests, enabling users to customize their experience by selecting topics relevant to their conditions and preferences.
Personalizable headers allow admins to organize content into specific sections for patients.
Admins can create and attach content to headers, assign titles, and categorize it based on patient conditions and interests.
The first screens a patient encounters guide them through the onboarding process. Patients can select their preferred language, log in to the application, and input the invite code provided by their doctor. This ensures a personalized and secure experience tailored to their needs.
Once logged in, patients are directed to their homepage. Here, they can browse and select personalized content, including meal plans, exercise routines, and motivational articles. These features are designed to encourage healthier habits and support their wellness journey.
In this section, patients can view detailed health metrics such as weight, glucose levels, and diagnoses. These metrics are tracked through Wi-Fi-enabled devices that patients use daily, seamlessly syncing with the app. Additionally, patients can upload their insurance cards directly into the platform, eliminating the need for out-of-pocket payments and ensuring streamlined access to healthcare resources.
My focus was to design an accessible and intuitive platform that meets the unique needs of older users within the Latino community. By incorporating bilingual functionality and personalized content, Hazlo makes it easy for users to adopt healthier lifestyles while managing their conditions effectively.
